What you’ll be doing

Engineering at WEIQ isn’t just about coding — it’s about crafting solutions that push boundaries and set new standards in the restaurant industry. We want it to be easy and profitable to run a restaurant, and we believe that tech is the way there.

As a rapidly expanding company, we’re on the lookout for talented individuals to join our development team. Collaboration is key here, as we work closely together to tackle new challenges and deliver a state-of-the-art product.

We are now looking for summer interns to join us in the code kitchen. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a quickly growing company at an early stage. As a summer intern at WEIQ you’ll be:

• Developing and shaping our frontend, backend and AI-powered systems

• Working mainly in TypeScript or Java as a full-stack developer

• Designing and building new AI-driven features and intelligent workflows

• Working with a microservice architecture deployed with Docker in AWS

• Developing new features to help build a fantastic restaurant experience

Who you are

You’re a fast learner and a great communicator. You love to try out new technologies and are not afraid to ask questions. You are creative, communicative, and customer-obsessed. You have an eagerness to learn and understand how our end users in the real world use our applications — and the code you write.

You are currently:

• Studying for a MSc degree in Computer Science or a similar program

• In your third year or later of your studies

An extra plus if you:

• Have worked with backend development before

• Have worked with frontend app development using React / React Native

• Have hands-on experience building AI-powered features

• Can show a few projects you’ve built on your own
